for USA TODAY’s Ad Meter project for Super Bowl XLIII. USA
TODAY’s Ad Meter started in 1989, and is considered to be the
leading source of information on how consumers react to the
most expensive television advertising aired each year.
Respondents use handheld meters to rate how much they liked or
disliked each ad aired from opening kick-off through the end
